Richy (ginger gnome)

My name is Richard Wells, I have been fishing now for at least 30 years, in the early days I fished my local rivers and streams, the Wensum was then full of quality fish, dace, chub, roach, with the odd trout, and Grayling. Then I progressed onto the local, gravel pits, fishing for the Bream and Tench in the summer months and the Pike and Roach in the winter. Then the big fish bug hit me, I started looking further a field, fishing lakes with reputations for specimen sized fish. In the 90s the Carp bug hit me, Carp Carp and more Carp summer winter that’s all I fished for. It was on one of the carp waters that I met Ade and Tommy, talk got round to Barbel and a promise of a trip to the Severn. NEVER LOOKED BACK SINCE
