About Team Barbel

Team Barbel was formed in the year 2000 when the three of us Barbel nuts decided to pool our knowledge and resources to help in our quest to catch our beloved Barbel. The team members Ade, Ginger and Tommy whilst all dedicated anglers have a special affection for Barbel and are all members of The Barbel Society.

Based in Norfolk we love to fish the Wensum but also travel country wide in our pursuit of Barbel. So far we have fished and caught Barbel from 9 different rivers, landing doubles from 6 of these. Travelling the length and breadth of the country, we can often be heard approaching venues by virtue of a long loud blast of on the car horn !
